SECOND NATIONAL SANITATION DAY MARKED The Second National Sanitation Day was observed at the Ledzokuku – Krowor Municipal Assembly on Saturday December 6th, 2014. The exercise which is in memory of the late Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama seeks to rid the whole nation of filth. It is also to foster the spirit of unity and communal spirit among all citizens. The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ledzokuku – Krowor Municipal Assembly, Hon. Seth Badu Tawiah who joined staff and residents in the exercise appealed to all residents to come on board to clean the Municipality. He sounded a note of warning to non-complaint traders that their shops would be locked up and they would be prosecuted at the court of law. The Municipal Cleansing Officer, Madam Grace Adaata, was as usual in very high spirit with her officers busy at work to make sure no rubbish was left in any corner of Teshie and Nungua. According to her, the Municipality is using four (4) compactors to move from street to street to collect all heaped up rubbish from all neighbourhoods. The Municipal Fire Officer, Mr. E.K.
