The Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Constituency, Hon. Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye and the Municipal Chief Executive of LeKMA, Hon. Mrs. Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah jointly cut a sod for the commencement of the construction of a Kindargarten block for Teshie Presbyterian Primary School on July 16th, 2018.

The Hon. MP in his remarks mentioned that the school was part of government’s commitment to give quality and free education to all. He said the basic level of education was very important hence the need to have a better and comfortable place for them to learn and play.

The Hon. MCE said the Teshie Presbyterian Primary School was chosen due to the fact that enrolment at the KG level had increased and the current classrooms could not accommodate all the pupils. She said it was refreshing to know that parents now see the need to enrol their kids in school at an early age and so the Assembly was glad to assist in accommodating these  pupils so that they could be well taken care of.

The Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Gloria Ahinee- Clerk added that the Education Directorate was grateful to the Hon. MP and MCE for coming up with such a project to help the basic level of education in the Municipality.

The project is supposed to be completed within eight(8) months.
