Ladies and Gentlemen, this year marks another milestone in the history of the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFAC) which is a biennial event where people from different walks of life and with different cultural heritage assembly to engage in a healthy and happy competition with the view to showcasing their traditional peculiarities and economic endowments through local technological inventions to boost job creation and explore investment opportunities among others.

Let us use this festival to strengthen the bond of friendship, belongings understanding and mutual respect among our people. Again by the reactionary nature of the festival, people from different region have the opportunity to appreciate these thus making them conscious of the fact that we are one people with a common destiny.

Ladies and Gentlemen, NAFAC continues to play a major role in the unearthing, nurturing and developing of talent Artists, performers and exhibitors to stardom as has been in past.

Again Arts in its different forms have now become big business and people who have the talent and skills especially our youth should be encouraged to develop them.
