A TRIBUTE TO THE LATE PRESIDENT PROF. EVANS JOHN ATTA MILLS BY HON. DANIEL A

. MENSAH THE MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF THE LEDZOKUKU-KROWOR MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY -FRIDAY, 10TH AUGUST, 2012

The General Assembly, Management and the entire staff of the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly are indeed saddened by the untimely demise of the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
His life was filled with the love of God, family and our country Ghana. We dare not question our maker, the Alpha and Omega; however the timing and rapidity of events are difficult to bear. His extra ordinary humility, modesty and kindness will forever stay in our memory.
Indeed my own personal testimony is that your humility, sense of humour, good and gentle disposition is unparalleled in the annals of the Ghanaian political culture.
To us in the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA), you were not just our President, but also a proud resident that we cherished and boost off to demonstrate how glad we were to have you in our Municipality.
We have benefited immensely

from your leadership style and vision of building a ‘Better Ghana’. Your tenure has seen a lot of unprecedented infrastructural development in the Municipality. These stems from school buildings, roads, bridges and culverts, health facilities such as the LEKMA Hospital, provision of portable water, etc. etc. etc.
We extend our deepest condolences to your dear wife, Dr. Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, your family, the Government, the National Democratic Congress Party (NDC) and the people of Ghana for this great loss.
It is our prayer that the Good Lord grants you eternal rest. May your death unite the nation and bring peace and understanding among Ghanaians.
