LEKMA ORGANISES ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR ITS 2014/2015 NATIONAL SERVICE PERSONNEL
Seventy (70) National Service personnel posted to the Ledzokuku- Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) received an orientation exercise on Friday November 28th 2014 at the LEKMA Assembly Hall.
Organised by the Human Resource unit of LEKMA, the one-day exercise sought to expose the personnel to the various departments and units of the Assembly so as to properly integrate them into the system. It was also an opportunity to officially welcome all service personnel posted to the Assembly in different units at LEKMA.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Seth Badu Tawiah, in his welcome remarks expressed joy towards the fact that personnel will aid the work of staff to execute their functions on time. He however cautioned all personnel to desist from loitering around the compound.
Heads of departments and units took turns to explain their functions and mandates. They also answered questions and gave further clarifications where necessary.
A representative from the Bureau of National Investigation answered questions on the nationwide delay of the allowances for the 2014/2015 National Service personnel. He assured them that they would get the September allowance by the beginning of the coming week which is, from December 1, 2014. He also advised them to take the attendance book very serious since it was one major way of checking if personnel are at post or not.
The programme was climaxed with an election of some service personnel to the positions of President, Vice President, and Organiser to represent and serve their interest at the Assembly.
