The Ledzokuku – Krowor Municipal Assembly has donated 500 pieces of mono-desks to the Education Directorate in the Municipality.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Hon. Seth Badu -Tawiah presenting the desks said the Assembly is poised on uplifting the standard of Education in the Municipality. The mono-desks which amounted to Eighty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵80.000.00) was funded from the Assembly’s Common Fund.
Hon. Badu- Tawiah said quality education is the priority of the Assembly therefore it will ensure that pupils in the Municipality get the best of education.
The Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Yaw Ofosu Dankwah who received the desks on behalf of the Directorate was grateful to the Assembly for the nice gesture and entreated other corporate organizations in the Municipality to emulate the footsteps of the Assembly.
Mr. Ofosu Dankwah said during the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) this year, it was realized that desks in most schools were not in good shape and uncomfortable to sit on, therefore these desks will go a long way to help the schools in the Municipality and enhance teaching and learning.
