The Environmental Health Officers of LEKMA have received 12 yards each for two sets of uniforms per staff from the Assembly. The officers numbering 46 were charged by the Municipal Chief Executive of LEKMA-Hon. Seth Badu Tawiah with the task of making sure they wear the uniforms to work every day. Non complying staff will be sanctioned by Management of the Assembly.

The MCE in an interview mentioned that acquisition of the uniforms was a relief to the Assembly as it had planned to do that for the past two years but was financially constrained. He said the move would make residents identify the Officers when they are on duty and make work easier. He reminded them of the fact that they need to work hard to improve sanitation in the Municipality and stop cholera outbreaks.

The Municipal Coordinating Director of LEKMA-Mr. Kodjoe Dekpo, on his part entreated the staff to be very discipline and punctual at work so that they can carry out their assigned tasks. He cautioned that the Assembly will not hesitate to sanction any staff who will indulge in an act of indiscipline.

The Municipal Environmental Health Officer- Mr. Samuel Agblo, said hitherto the Officers had issues of corporation by the residents of the Municipality due to the absence of uniforms therefore the support is very much appreciated by his Department.
