SECOND LADY ATTENDS FRIDAY PRAYER AT TESHIE CENTRAL MOSQUE

The Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana- Hajia Samira Bawumia joined the people of Teshie for the Friday Jummah prayers at the Teshie Central Mosque, also known as the Dar Es Salam Mosque.

She interacted with the members of the community after the prayer at a durbar. Hajia Samira charged parents to make sure that their wards were educated by taking advantage of the ongoing Free SHS by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government. She appealed to them not to relegate the girl-child to the kitchen but rather get them educated as well so that they could contribute their quota to the nation.

She added that, government has made a lot plans to provide the needed development in Zongos across the country through the Ministry of Zongo and Inner City Development. Touching on unemployment, she asked the youth to register to be part of the jobs that were being offered by government through various models under the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO).

She concluded by soliciting for prayers from the Muslim community to the leadership of the NPP so that they could have the spiritual and physical strength to carry out all that they have promised and more.

Hon. Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, the Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency was present at the function and welcomed the Second Lady to the Constituency. According to him, he was positive that she was the best person to carry the message of the needed development in the constituency to the Vice President, Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia.

Also present at the durbar were some staff from the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly, NPP party supporters from the Ledzokuku Constituency and Chiefs of various ethnic groups in the Zongo.
